Creative truth is drowning in noise.
Noise that keeps getting louder.
Louder because the platforms we use aren't designed to surface what matters.
They're designed to keep you scrolling.
Picasso never shared “5 hacks for cubism.”
Toni Morrison didn't create content about writing.
They created the work itself.
Leaving breadcrumbs for those willing to look for them.
We don't need more tips.
We need fewer voices with more to say.
Not influencers. Practitioners.
People who've been where you're going.
Beginning in June, I'm bringing these voices to you.
Not by fighting the algorithms, but by creating a clearing within them.
What you can expect:
Short insights on TikTok and Instagram that interrupt your scroll.
Deeper explorations on YouTube that connect the dots.
A website (heartheartist.com) that organizes it all.
This isn't for everyone.
This is for people doing work that matters.
Work they hope will last.
People tired of advice from those who haven't done the work themselves.
Because making art is hard. Finding guidance shouldn't be.
In the meantime I’m on:
Very grateful to have your work show up in my YouTube feed! Your Ray Bradbury clips have become discussion topics for my son and I (homeschool/unschool) - he’s currently doing the “creative tension” exercise right now! Thank you for slowing down and making this project. I can’t emphasize enough how helpful this is - it takes a village and I’m thrilled you are now virtually part of ours🥰 best of luck to you with this project!
